Review and execute master data maintenance requests received from users. Responsible for centralized maintenance of data Specific master data elements include Material Master records, initial purchasing info records and other key SAP data. This position will update these elements to maintain a high level of integrity and alignment to business processes.

  • Develop and implement data standards as needed and ensure data integrity

  • Process approved requests for master data set up and changes within SAP

  • Receive Master Data Maintenance Request from SAP users, review to ensure data does not already exists and conforms to data taxonomy standards, route to appropriate business owners for approvals and awareness, update the data elements within SAP and notify users of changes to master data upon completion

  • Work closely across teams within the SAP Support Organization and with the user community to ensure full understanding of the global template design and implications related to master data

  • Monitor master data processes; with a goal of continued improvement

  • Document and update process flows and training materials as needed

  • Develop and maintain metric reports on MDMA activity

  • Perform additional duties associated to material master data such as periodic archiving of items, auditing to ensure accuracy of key codes, creation of new material class and characteristics and processing item merges in SAP

  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degreeandtwo (2) years of practical work experience in Operations, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain or a related field;OR

  • High School diploma or GEDandten (10) years of related experience

Preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP master data (specifically Vendor Master data) and basic knowledge of how other modules in SAP interact with Supply Chain SAP functionality

  • Experience maintaining vendor master files in an ERP system

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

  • Experience with Business Objects and/or other “Big Data” reporting applications

  • Ability to create and maintain quality training and process documentation

  • Ability to effectively conduct training (via on-line and/or in front of an audience)

  • Experience with 1099 and 1042 reporting

  • Experience using D&B and Thomson Reuters OneSource application

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and maintain professional interpersonal relationships with all levels of management, clients, and staff, both domestic and international

  • Strong interpersonal and influential skills that facilitate collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and all levels of management

  • Self-directed, motivated, ability to prioritize tasks and work well under time constraints to accomplish business objectives

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish (spoken & written)

Criteria/Conditions

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standard

  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ

  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator

  • Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
