Serve as the primary point of contact between the MIS department and business units, regions or Corporate functions. Act as the focal point for MIS communications, customer problems, questions or concerns. Coordinate with the proper MIS personnel to provide timely and accurate communication to the end-users, including answering questions and suggestions for the increased use of technology.

  • Establish an on-going dialogue with the user community to understand their concerns, obtain feedback, provide education regarding IT capabilities, set expectations, review IT service levels and deliver other IT messages

  • Build relationships with business partners at all levels from Senior Management to end-users

  • Understand business strategy and business processes. Influence decisions on IT application selection and utilization

  • Develop communication plan including stakeholders, objectives, messages, delivery vehicles and timing; execute and modify plan as needed; conduct periodic sessions with users for education or feedback purposes

  • Develop training materials and deliver

  • Liaise with MIS management, BSA and support teams; keep them informed regarding user concerns/feedback and obtain input on communication requirements

  • Liaise with Corporate Communications to ensure messages are aligned across the Company

  • Proactively participate in the customer satisfaction survey process

  • Conduct trending of the results and follow-up activities on major items

  • Understand the MIS applications and infrastructure landscape

  • Stay current on new technologies and business developments that could impact business operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degreeandseven (7) years of experience,which includesthree (3) years in the Change Management fieldandat least two (2) years working in Information Technology

  • Demonstrates effective leadership and influence competencies, as well as the ability to function at all levels of an organization

  • Demonstrated change management skills including communication planning, communication delivery, training creation, and training delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to create plans and deliver on time and within budget

  • Demonstrates ability to meet customer requirements and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Must have superior interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills, including an ability to listen well

  • Must be analytical, detail-oriented, organized, a problem-solver, and a strong negotiator

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure

  • Ability to manage expectations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Preferred

  • Must have superior interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills, including an ability to listen well

  • Demonstrated change management skills including communication planning, communication delivery, training creation, and training delivery

  • Comfortable interacting with personnel at all levels in the organization

  • Familiar with the language of IT and able to translate between technical and business terminology

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint

  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ

  • Some travel to domestic and international mine sites may be required

  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
